Biography

Atty. Jeanne obtained her law degree from the Faculty of Civil Law, University of Santo Tomas, where she was awarded with a Medal for Leadership. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Management from the same university.

Atty. Jeanne started her law career in private practice where she worked in an Ortigas law firm for more than three years. During her years as a young practitioner, she harnessed her skills in litigation where she handled civil, criminal, and corporate cases and appeared in different courts and tribunals. Atty. Jeanne earned a vast experience in corporate law where she assisted corporate clients with their contracts, acted as corporate secretary and handled the client’s corporate records such as minutes, resolutions and certificates.

Atty. Jeanne joined the judiciary and was appointed as Branch Clerk of Court in the Regional Trial Court of Quezon City. She clerked in a Family Court for more than three years and gained mastery of the pertinent family laws such as adoption, nullity of marriages, support, guardianship and custody of children.

In 2021, Atty. Jeanne began her private practice in Silang, Cavite where she also manages a law office. As a private practitioner, Atty. Jeanne handles various cases such as land registration cases, corporate and civil cases, criminal cases, family law cases and labor cases. She also handles various corporate retainer accounts for businesses and corporations.

Biography

Atty. Jem is a dedicated legal professional who has an unwavering commitment to justice, public service, and excellence.

Following her admission to the bar in 2011, Atty. Jem commenced her career as an associate lawyer at APV Law, where she gained valuable experience and expertise over the years. During this time, she also volunteered her legal services to various Non- Governmental Organizations, such as the Bantay Bata, demonstrating her compassion for those in need. Recognizing the importance of education, she also served as a part- time professor, sharing her knowledge and passion for law, to the students of Colegio de San Juan de Letran.

In 2014, Atty. Jem took the courageous step of establishing her own legal practice, where up to now she specializes in a wide range of legal areas, including litigation and appeals for civil, criminal and administrative cases, family law, special proceedings, labor law, cybercrime law, election law, corporate law, intellectual property law, tax law, commerce and banking laws, real estate law, immigration and visas, dispute resolution and special projects.

Beyond her private practice, Atty. Jem has been actively involved in public service and political affairs. She has served as an election lawyer for several local candidates during national and local elections. Despite her demanding schedule, Atty. Jem remains engaged in public policy formulation, serving as a consultant to numerous public officials at both the local and national levels. Her invaluable insights and expertise continue to shape policies that impact communities across the country.

An alumna of the University of Santo Tomas and Far Eastern University, Atty. Jem holds an array of academic credentials, including a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Economics, a Master in Public Administration, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence. Additionally, she pursued advanced studies as a scholar at The Hague Academy for Local Governance in Hague, Netherlands, further enriching her understanding of governance and law.
